The speaker will be Dr. Dianna Phillips who is the President of Harford Community College.
This luncheon is our Annual Meeting where officers and new board members will be installed.
In addition, we will recognize our scholarship recipients who attend Harford Community College.
Luncheon cost is $25 for members and their guests, $30 for non-members.
Networking will begin at 11:30 am, followed by lunch at 12:00 pm.
Dianna G. Phillips, PhD
Dianna G. Phillips is honored to serve Harford Community College as its ninth president. Dr. Phillips is working to fashion HCC into the College of the Future, an ever-adaptable institution that can evolve to meet the needs of its constituents in a constantly changing world. Dr. Phillips has led the effort to enhance HCC’s data analysis practices, partnering with industry experts to optimize the College’s use of data. By more effectively collecting and analyzing data, Dr. Phillips hopes to implement data-informed policies that will best serve the College and the community.
Dr. Phillips has fostered strong partnerships with local businesses and the Harford County government. In partnership with these groups, she is currently leading the effort to build a satellite campus on the southern Route 40 corridor. HCC at Edgewood will offer market-driven programming and provide opportunity and economic growth to employers and workers in southern Harford County.
Dr. Phillips has dedicated her career to promoting workforce development and technical training, fostering community partnerships, and maintaining accessibility and affordability in higher education. She holds a PhD in Social Foundations of Education from SUNY Buffalo, and has previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the University of the District of Columbia Community College and the Dean of Technical Education at Monroe Community College.
